Following twelve years of distinguished and highly effective leadership, Iain Veitch has decided to retire from the Headship of Park View School, Chester-le-Street on 31 August 2019.
The school, first established in 1911, continues to have a most impressive record of first rate education across the full curricular range of English; Three Modern Languages; Science; Technology; Maths; Sports and PE; Drama, Music and Art. Additionally, the scope of extra-curricular activity is both diverse and inclusive. The school transferred to ‘stand alone’ Academy status in 2011.
Currently, 1,400 students, ages 11-18 attend the school, including post-16 Sports Academy, based at the adjacent International Riverside Complex.
The Members of the Trust Board and the Governing Body are now actively searching for a new Headteacher to succeed Iain, with the aim to enhance still further the overall quality of education offered by Park View.
Any leader interested in becoming the next Headteacher of Park View, or anyone aware of a leader that might be interested in that position, are asked to contact either David Standish (Chair of the Members – firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr Bill Dennison (Chair of Governors – email@example.com) to arrange an informal discussion.
